CASE STUDY OF THE INTERVIEW WITH THE WRITER (Lviv,13th of August, 2018)

Summary/Abstract: The article aims to depict a philosophical and artistic portrait of the Ukrainianwriter Yuriy Vynnychuk. The portrait is based on his interview. The objective of the study is topresent the origin of his literary style and the beginning of his work. The analysis of the content of theinterview leads to the conclusion that the writer’s literary style was influenced by Ukrainiantranslations of foreign literature, mainly from Western Europe; the writer declares that he intends topreserve his internal autonomy during the creation of the work, he wants to be free from the pressureconnected with his would-be readers’ tastes and expectations.
