Citizen satisfaction with municipal services: The case of Konya

Summary/Abstract: Local governments, which are the closest units to people in terms of providing services, pay special attention to such issues as life and service quality, citizen satisfaction, meeting demands and expectations of citizens while making future plans and evaluating how successful they are in the public eye. The level of citizen satisfaction, citizens' experiences and perceptions about local services and their ideas about the legitimacy, credibility and performance of Mayor affect the success of local governments, particularly municipalities, in a positive or a negative way. This study aims to develop "a citizen report" about the local services in Konya by identifying how satisfied people are with the quality of the local public services provided by Konya Municipality.
