Aspersion as a Criminal Act

Summary/Abstract: The article examines certain issues related to both the objective and subjective signs of the aspersion ,corpus delicti" specified in Article 147 of the Criminal Code - felony against the honour, dignity and good name of the individual, encroachment of human rights, related to generally acknowledged values contained in international legal acts and proclaimed in the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria. With reference to the connotation and characteristics of aspersion as a criminal act, and the sanctions that should be applied in its realization, the article examines the legal experience of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Bulgaria and the practical problems which the aspersion as a felony creates to the practicsing legal professionals.
