Summary/Abstract: In this paper we analyze the phenomenon of death and consciousness of mortality as a fundamental existential and anthropological characteristic of human being in the terms of philosophy and psychology. We reflect the phenomenon of death in correlation with phenomenon of dying, finiteness, temporality and consciousness. Further we approximate the structure of consciousness of the mortality of man that has ontological, axiological and emotional aspect because of the human suffering and experiencig of border situation.
