Decolonizing Conferences. Some Remarks On Africanist Congresses in Poland

Summary/Abstract: This article discusses national Africanist conferences in the context of the colonial discourse on Africa. The author argues that they are not only spaces of change, but also of reproduction of this discourse. He uses mostly the Congress of Polish Africanists, the largest cyclical event in national African studies, as a case study.
