Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the science called Neuroaesthetics and to define the type of relationship between works of art and their influence on humans. The main assumption is based on the question: is it possible to understand the phenomenon of art by analyzing the functioning of the brain and what is the relationship between the reception of works of art and human personality. Answers to these questions were made by quoting selected research results both in the field of neurobiology and psychology.
