Summary/Abstract: Preservation of the tradition of storytelling among Macedonian immigrants in the new countries has maintained the strong connection and attachment of storytellers and listeners to their homeland. Unfortunately, due to the lack of interest and sustained engagement of Macedonian science in collection and investigation of emigration folklore, it gradually disappears, unrecorded and uninvestigated, together with its creators. It is a great loss to the science, because Macedonian emigration folklore is an integral part of all our folk art. Yet, in some periods, the tradition of storytelling among Macedonian emigration far from their old country continued to exist, contributing to the cultural and spiritual life of the immigrants and to preservation of their ethnic identity.
