Summary/Abstract: The seemingly common finding situation of a settlement object, though not quite complete, that was uncovered during a rescue excavation, following the analysis of material from its infill, provided a lot of useful knowledge. Its chronological classification belongs amongst the oldest in the region and additionally by its locations it pinpoints a new position within the settlement scheme. The valuation its osteological matter categorises its originator clearly to a population with agricultural production and a smaller proportion of hunted fauna. An interesting comparison of the species representation with objects that are chronologically almost concurrent and are also spatially similar suggests that it is problematical to interpret sites on the basis of a single file because thereby the overall picture of the site may be significantly distorted. The character of the finds from the object’s infill suggests that its filling took place over rather a short term.
