Summary/Abstract: The attainments of the students of the Faculty of Theology during their undergraduate education play a great role especially in the professional sense in their relations with people after they graduate. What they have learnt in the psychology of religion course, which examines the reflections of religion on the emotions, thoughts and behaviors of the individual, are especially important for the students of the Faculty of Theology. When the literature on the field of psychology of religion, which is rapidly developing and has a high tendency in our country, is examined, it was seen that there are very few studies on psychology of religion courses given at the Faculty of Theology. This research is a qualitative research aiming at revealing the common and different aspects of the perceptions of students who took religious psychology course in 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 academic year at Atatürk University Faculty of Theology and still studying at Ataturk University. For this purpose, a total of (12) students, consisting of (7) females and (5) males, are determined by the simple random sampling method. In this research, in which the phenomenological pattern was used, the data obtained as a result of semi-structured interviews with the study group were analyzed through a descriptive analysis. According to the findings obtained, students think that the religious psychology course is important in terms of self-discovery and the ability to analyze the people to whom they will be addressed. The students also think that the course of religious psychology should be compulsory and allocated more time. Thus, they will be able to learn how to convey all the information which they have obtained in the courses relating to Basic Islamic Sciences to their addressees. Furthermore, the students who emphasize that the psychology of religion course is different from the other courses in the Faculty of Theology in terms of content, desire and suggest that this course include current trends.
