Summary/Abstract: There is a direct correlation between the onset of civilizations and the use of clay by humans. This trend has evolved to the present day. As a result, a large industry and branch of art have been born. The cultural level of the society, religious beliefs and behavior, and current life habits could be understood by observing the ceramic works that a society produces. The technological advances that initiated with the industrial revolution led to a great momentum in production. When art and science is combined with the act of creation, original artworks emerge. The partnership of art and science plays an important role in ceramic arts, similar to several other fields of art. The fact that ceramic material plays a role in contemporary ceramic art as an object of art and a means of expression became prevalent over a long period of time. In addition to technical knowledge, the self-expression and aesthetic perception of the artist play an important role in the production of ceramic works. Mutlu Başkaya, who combined this duality with her expressive style and aesthetic perception, creates stories with earth for their audience. She tests and produces rich selections of this branch of art one after another with a natural expertise.
