Summary/Abstract: One major topic in research into Nazi Germany is the relationship of national socialism to the Christian churches, and to religion in general. The fundamental question is, whether membership of a specific church influenced the self-identification of the believers with the Nazi ideology and the ruling regime. In the Czech environment, however, this topic is a largely unknown one. What faiths were held by members of the Nazi Germany’s repression forces – the SS, Security Police and SD? Did they stay with the church, or did they abandon the faith of their predecessors?
