Summary/Abstract: Epidemics have been among the most terrifying disasters suffered throughout human history in terms of causing the death of many people. XV. XIX century. The Ottoman State was also affected by the plague, which was active in many parts of the world until the second half of the century. In Edirne, which is in a position that connects Istanbul and the Balkans, the plague epidemic happened every period. XV. Starting from the XIX century. Plague epidemics, which have been observed at certain intervals until the 16th century, have come to Edirne from different routes. These outbreaks have had economic and social destructive effects in the center of Edirne and in the accidents and villages. It also affected the demographic structure of the region due to the migration from the villages due to the epidemic. XIX. Another disease that affected Edirne until the 7th century was the malaria microbe created by mosquitoes due to the rivers around it. The malaria microbe has remained on the agenda of Edirne for many years, although it does not have devastating effects like the plague.
