Turkish wars, Spanish news. The routes and readers of the news in Spain during the 17th century

Summary/Abstract: One of the most important news in Europe in the second half of the 17th century were about the reconquest of Hungary from the Turks. Most news originated from German and French sources, while other pieces of information were vehiculated by Italian, Spanish and Portuguese travellers and students, as well. This article is based on a corpus of printed sources written in Spanish, and aims at giving a brief sketch of the origin, the content and the distribution routes of these news, and also to present their audience.
