Summary/Abstract: Consumption sales is an an agreement where one party, the professional-seller, transfers ownership of goods or services to the party, the consumer-buyer, for a price. Similarly to the sales contract (the common law in the matter), the consumption sales present different forms (types, varieties) called in the legislation “Commercial Practices”. Because consumption sales (including their varieties) are a part of our everyday life, establishing the legal framework applicable is, with any douubt, of theoretical and practical interest. However, it is difficult to analyze the consumption sales because the consumerist institutions have to be harmonized with those which are established by the Civil Code. This study will briefly introduce a series of considerations, in the matter, structured in three sections: Varieties of Sales Contract in the Civil Code; Sales of Consumption Goods and Products – general rules and Practices of Consumption Sales in the provisions of G.O. no. 99/2000 and G.O. no. 34/2014.
