This is why it has become possible to access the internet in every field, and museums have found a place in the virtual environment for themselves. Virtual museums do not actually require a physical structure. In comparison to museums that have physical spaces and exhibition opportunities, virtual museums are types of museums that continue their exhibition and publicity activities with the opportunities of the virtual environment without having concerns of space. In such museums, exhibition and presentation of works that are in museum collections can be achieved with interface designs in terms of visual design. Therefore, it is needed to have virtual museums whose interfaces make watching easier, facilitate following, direct the visitor inside the site and have been designed with an aesthetical approach. For meeting this need, a great duty falls upon interface designs that are prepared based on design principles. Virtual museums are those that share their collections created on the national and international levels towards areas like culture, arts and sciences with their viewers. Ahmet Yakupoğlu is one of the versatile artists that have lived in Turkey. It has been accepted as a necessity to bring the life and works of Yakupoğlu, who culturally and artistically has many characteristics, as well as what he has done for the province of Kütahya, to viewers by utilizing opportunities presented by technology and to do this in the virtual environment. With this understanding, it was aimed to design the Ahmet Yakupoğlu Virtual Museum, open it for use and do this with the understanding of a new technological structure and design by examining examples of virtual museums in the world and in Turkey. The data of the study were obtained both by utilizing general screening models and by examining exemplary websites as a qualitative method. In the light of these data, it was concluded that modern lines and colors need to be used in the virtual museum, and a design where ease for the user is prominent needs to be prepared. In relation to this conclusion, by also utilizing the sources in the hands of individuals who had friendships with him, visualized his memories or recorded them, the Ahmet Yakupoğlu Virtual Museum, which completely consists of his works, was established. The virtual museum, which also includes images, videos and sounds about the artist, was designed with an innovative but user-focused understanding in terms of web interface design.
