Summary/Abstract: Art has been diversified with different approaches from the day it has existed until today, each discourse has influenced the previous period and contributed to the formation of new discourse environments. These contributions have been made possible in digital environments by diversifying with the innovations brought by technological developments in today's conditions. The artists actively use this medium in the process of creating their artistic activities, both by transferring traditional structures to digital media and by creating new narrative construction methods in digital media. The cartoon space, which has made significant progress in parallel with the development of the cinema in the period from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day and has a great influence on the production of motion pictures, is one of these discourse environments. Today, based on the digital environments in which motion picture designs are developed and the programs used in these environments, it is possible to reach the assumption that cartoon designs produced come from the combination of many art fields. The art of painting is one of the areas where the cartoon field is in relation and feeds. The art of painting and its dynamics, which have an impact on all stages throughout the process from the foundation to the roof of the cartoon production, are conveyed through the stage designs, which are mostly expressed as backgrounds, in the image, where the prepared images are presented to the audience. The stage designs of the cartoons prepared today differ according to the techniques and types of the images, as well as the flows in the history of painting and their effects. In this study, the impressionism movement, which is one of the contemporary art movements, and its characteristic features will be examined, and the use of this movement in the cartoon space will be investigated. By finding out what kind of approaches the cartoons in different techniques show in the process of transferring the impressionism trend, a painting with the oil painting technique of Painter Ahmet Yakupoğlu, which has an important place in the history of Turkish painting, will be designed using motion as a background in a cartoon scene.
