Summary/Abstract: The science fiction cinema genre, which was highly influenced by the technical and technological developments of the period, is stimulating in creating dystopian universes. These films, which are like a preview of the future, have always surprised and impressed the viewers when they were shown. In the science fiction movies, costumes and accessories have affected other sectors as well as the film. Besides fashion, music, textile, clothing, space design, all kinds of accessories; All sectors associated with elements such as shoes, bags and hair design create a new movie-based style. The costumes identified with the character also influence the viewer and direct the commercial sector. In this paper, the costumes, symbolic meanings and the effects on the characters of the film, which was originally named Matrix in 1999, directed by The Wachowskis, which is one of the examples of the Science Fiction film genre of Holywod Cinema, will be revealed.
