Summary/Abstract: Two Old-Bulgarian translations of Pseudo-Methodius' Apocalypsis are consideret. The analysis of their lexical and grammatical peculiarities permits their attribution to the production of the Preslav literary school. The comparison of the methods of translation shows that a considerable part of the features of the so-called "free translation" are identical with the stylistic and linguistic characteristics of John the Exarch's works. Exactly these similarities give grounds to connect it with the norms and traditions of the literary circle of the distinguished Old-Bulgarian man of letters.
