Summary/Abstract: Otto Koslowski's personality relatively successfully breaks the long-held notion of a member of the Gestapo as a primitive who lives only by torturing others and is characterized by blind devotion to the Nazi regime. The roots of his actions are much deeper, and although he undoubtedly had a penchant for violence, his excellent criminal abilities cannot be overlooked. Unfortunately, due to court trials, such as his own, today we do not know not only the details, but in many cases the mere outlines of operations and actions carried out by the Nazi security forces during the occupation of Czechoslovakia. We can only speculate whether this was the intention of the StB investigators, who thus protected the "reputation" of the communist resistance.
