Summary/Abstract: Following the definitive triumph of the Bolsheviks in Russia, tens of thousands of Russian exiles were accepted by the fledgling Czechoslovakia. Many did return to Russia although as prisoners of the Soviet NKVD political police, which hauled them off from Czechoslovakia violently, despite the fact that they were in many cases de jure Czechoslovak citizens.
