Summary/Abstract: Using the example of the famous At the Golden Tiger pub in Prague, we can illustrate one aspect of the system of de facto blanket spying that the Communists introduced on coming to power and then continually developed and refined. This study focuses on the group that gathered around my father Bedřich Placák and his close friend of many years Otto Klička at their table at the pub the Golden Tiger in the normalisation period. Sufficient archival materials have been preserved as to allow for a reconstruction of the St- B’s monitoring of that community.
