Abraham the Prophet – a Symbol of Reconciliation

Summary/Abstract: The great monotheistic religions (Christianity, Judaism and Islam) perceive Abraham as their common source. The article tells about Abraham’s role in those three religions, but foremost about Islamic attitude towards him. Precisely in Islam Abraham is very often perceived in he political context but the author also stresses that in Islam religion and politics are generally tightly combined with each other. Finally Wronecka asks a very significant question: Are the common roots not an opportunity for reconciliation and mutual acceptance?
