The communes competitiveness basing on the example of Lublin voivodeship

Summary/Abstract: Political changes which began in the 90s, especially regarding administrative reform, had a great impact on communes facing new opportunities for managing the municipal properties. The above mentioned concerned far more privileges for communes to run their own public activity. This paper identifies and examines the competitiveness of Lublin voivodeship’s communes considering static system. The model of Hellwig was used to examine the competitiveness. The surveyed 212 communes were divided into four groups from the point of view of competitiveness level.
