Summary/Abstract: The managerial grid model developed by Robert R. Blake and Jane Mouton originally identified five different leadership styles based on the concern for people and the concern for production. The most popular behaviour of leadership style for Local Action Groups (LAG) is “team style” leadership. “Country club style” is the most useful for LAGs in the area of planning and decision making. “Middle of the road style” is characteristic of some part of top management (presidents, vice-presidents) and executive directors. In some LAGs there is a risk that neither production nor people needs will be fully met.
