Typology of country districts in Małopolska voivodeship as regards the level of socio-economic and environmental development

Summary/Abstract: The paper includes the analysis and the appraisal of balancing of country districts in Małopolska voivodeship. In the analysis the groups of diagnostic variables were used. They fully characterized the development processes in the presentation of three dimensions: social, economic and environmental. The appliance of PERKAL Method, which belongs to the non-model groups, allowed to carry out the ranking and grouping the objects according to the summary indexes value. The research showed that there were essential disproportions among analysed units in the level of socio-economic and environmental development. The diversified values of calculated indexes prove it. In the paper statistical data of Local Data Bank, Main Statistical Office and Statistical Office in Cracow were used for the years 2004-2008.
