The assessment of environmental competitiveness of regions in Poland

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the concept of environmental competitiveness of regions. It is indicated that some regions are in the possession of a very valuable development factor, which is a relatively clean environment. It contributes to increasing prosperity in the region and affects further improvement of environmental quality. Taking active measures to protect the environment is in favour of deepening of the so-called “green” specialization of regions including their competitiveness at domestic and even international level. The assessment of environmental competitiveness of regions in Poland is carried out using the point method.
