Summary/Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic invites us to re-examine the relations between aesthetics and social, environmental, and bodily issues. This essay highlights these interconnections by focusing on the vulnerability of breathing from a visceral point of view. Merging theoretical accounts with investigations of selected artworks by Latvian artists Dace Džeriņa and Rasa Jansone, the aesthetic apprehension of breathing allows for the advancement of feminist politics for a liveable and breathable life and bodily flourishing.
