Summary/Abstract: World history is running in waves. The statement certainly contains a simplification. Nevertheless, it is at least certain that it does not run uniformly in the sense of a line that represents a constant increase, a fundamentally constant path. Now it could also run uniformly in the wave course, thus as a curve. This affects the situation, and it is at least certain that it runs in cycles. This corresponds to the usual way of imagining and representing the economy among economists to record the economic development in cycles - under the basic assumption that their curves are precisely not uniform.
