Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to present the materials referred to as Wojtylana, found in the Wawel Chapter Archives. The author has remarked the manuscript of the drama Our God’s Brother, written by Fr. Karol Wojtyla in 1950. Then he discussed the diploma of March 8, 1964 – the day of the ingress of Archbishop K. Wojtyla to the Wawel Cathedral. By this diploma, Archbishop Wojtyla enlarged the Cracow Cathedral Chapter from nine to twelve canons. Subsequently, the attention is paid to the letters from Cardinal Wojtyla to the Wawel Cathedral Chapter related to the introduction of liturgical reforms after the Second Vatican Council. The Chapter Archives also keep several documents from the time Wojtyla was elected Pope: the autographs of the newly nominated Pope John Paul II on the canonization papal bulls of St. Hedwig, the Queen of Poland, and his dedication on a photograph from October 1978, addressed to Fr. K. Figlewicz, a former catechist and confessor of Karol Wojtyla. In the second part of the article, the author discusses the visits of Cardinal K. Wojtyla – Pope John Paul II recorded in the cathedral chronicle, in the Acta actorum and in the record books. The paper ends with short information about those visits in books, typescripts and photographs collected in the Wawel Cathedral Chapter Library.
