Determinants of Contemporary Ethnic Policy of the Third Republic of Poland

Summary/Abstract: RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: The main aim of the article is to present to the reader a major determinants of contemporary ethnic policy of the Third Republic of Poland. THE RESEARCH PROBLEM AND METHODS: A tool used in the research was ethnic policy paradigm that has been formulated by Henryk Chałupczak. THE PROCESS OF ARGUMENTATION: The article consists of eight parts. Each is dedicated to one of the determinants – constitutional, ideological, political, geopolitical, legal, demographic, geographical or historical. RESEARCH RESULTS: Influence on the contemporary ethnic policy in Poland had each of the eight determinants named by Chałupczak constitutional, ideological, political, geopolitical, legal, demographic, geographical or historical. The biggest impact had the legal changes. CONLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS: Polish ethnic policy is susceptible to changes, especially legal.
