Summary/Abstract: Adolf Trendelenburg is the first to question Hegel’s logic in the sense of a reform effort, which came to be known as the logical question. It encompasses the scepticism towards the scope and eligibility of formal logic. Hegel’s critique of formal logic seemed to have outlived itself, since it’s not to be had without the identification of logic and metaphysics, which seemed to bring back a precritical metaphycism. This paper tries to show that Hegel does have an answer to the logical question, the question whether logic might be thought of as an organon, which is indeed worthwhile taking into account.
