Summary/Abstract: The aim of education counseling is to provide the recipient with tools supporting the process of influencing the child to achieve assumed goals. The subject of the following research is to recognise the importance of parental guidebooks as a tool supporting parents in proper delivery of their educational du-ties towards children. The study’s range includes the entire territory of Second Polish Republic and People’s Republic of Poland. The source material for this study are Polish guidebooks for parents published in the years 1918–1989.
