Summary/Abstract: In the relevant literature, the understanding of the term "mixed marriage" is based on the theoretical approaches revealed in the studies on interpersonal relationships in different countries and communities. The phenomenon of “mixed marriage” includes the concept of inter-ethnic shortages and is referred to in the literature as intermarriage. A typical situation seems to be the so-called "international shortage". In the last decades, international shortages stopped to be an exception to the rule of ethnic endogamy. Under a concept the Transfrontal shortages, whether international shortages, the shortages celled by the citizens of the different states understand. In this work, the author studies the situation of international shortages concerning the citizens of the countries from Eastern Europe to South Korea, in order to identify the problems and specificity of the adaptation of marriage migrants from the countries of Eastern Europe. The author maintains that the cultural and ideological aspects of the countries of Eastern Europe make them less adequate in the area of international shortages concerning the men of South Korea, which also influences the level of satisfaction with domestic life. The study corroborates the theory that the concept of “survival” can characterize the main problems in the context of international migration, related to the adaptation to life in Korea. In order to reveal the social aspects, psychological processes, and the changed states of consciousness of women–marriage migrants from post-soviet countries, who married in South Korea, the author of this work conducted an analysis of the "informative array" obtained from the Internet forum of Russian language wives. In this way, the blocks (semantic, conceptual) that determine the perception of the surrounding world, the perception of the surrounding reality, and the specificities of stereotypes are revealed. The concept of "survival" has an emotional, evaluative, and expressive background. The results of the questionnaire analysis and the interview of 54 women married to Koreans make it possible for the author to formulate certain conclusions concerning woman marriage migration from the countries of the post-soviet area, leaving out of considerations other foreign migrants. The respondents were selected from the city of Seoul, regions of Pusan, Ansan and small satellite cities surrounding Seoul.
