Summary/Abstract: Having been until only recently a small, cattle breeding entity, in times of AVNOJ based Yugoslavia Montenegro turned into some kind of urbanized society, where neither the villager was supposed to be true agriculturalist, becoming a farmer– worker, unproductive in both professions. It explains the fact that the industry in Montenegro was accumulating only up to the 8,9%, while the result on the federal level was reaching 18,2%. It is obvious that amortization of this difference and its consequences was managed by the activities of broader social community. For the common man, it was mainly important to enjoy the benefits of the city life, especially when the employment was accompanied with possibility of housing. But, this kind of state umbrella, in shape of AVNOJ’s Yugoslavia, ceased. Years to come will impose the question of new donor of easy city life.
