Summary/Abstract: This text attempts at discussing at some length the content of the two volumes of writings by Dobrochna Ratajczakowa, a valued drama and theatre scholar, which she published over more than four decades (in 1963–2006). The review offers an afterthought on analytical methods and symptomatic traits – as recognisable against texts authored by other theatre researchers – of the narration as are getting revealed whilst reading the collection W krysztale i w płomieniu.
