Summary/Abstract: Byzantine music represents not only a historical heritage but also a living entity, preserved to this day in the Orthodox Churches. Although there are even at this moment many people in the world who are learning Byzantine music, yet, so far, there is no scientifically structured method of teaching Byzantine music. The ICT means, especially the audio ones, the only ones that can exemplify, in the absence of a teacher, the correct intonation of the Byzantine sounds or of the ornamental formulas, are absolutely necessary for the process of learning Byzantine music, and they even succeed sometimes in substituting the aforementioned lack of some well-defined methodical teaching strategies.
