Summary/Abstract: The article considers some reflections of several features of Bulgarian musical folklore in two choral miniatures — „Ergen deda” and „Kaval sviri” by Petar Liondev. Special attention is paid to the issues of metro-rhythm, the modal structures of the melodies and the use of folk scat technique. The results of the article may be used as methodological assistance for the conductors of choral groups in the process of working with the national Bulgarian repertory.
