Summary/Abstract: Globalization processes taking place in the global economy affected the creation of the EU trade policy. The turn of the century is a period in which the Union is moving away from multilateralism to strengthen its bilateral relations. This is due to the change of motives guided by Brussels in negotiating and signing new agreements. Recent years have resulted in taking a number of bilateral activities. A good example of a free trade agreement is an agreement between the EU and Korea. Its adoption resulted in a significant increase in exports and a positive impact on the economy of the European Union. Thus, bilateral solution can be an impulse that will ensure rapid development of Europe.
