Summary/Abstract: In this article I intend to present the historical circumstances which preceded the outbreak of the 5th of October in Belgrade. Presenting this, I would like to share Cicero’s opinion that the cause of an event is more important than the event itself. On that occasion, I will do my best to avoid the unnecessary revision of history and just focus on raw facts which are based on true events and are easy to trace down. An objective look on history demands real facts and there is no much room for assumptions. In addition to that, I would like to bring closer to the readers what kind of changes were demanded at that time and why they weren’t able to be initiated through institutional paths by reflecting on the events that occurred in the 90ties. The interpretation and analysis are also based on raw facts. Finally, I would like to give the final answer if there were any changes made after the 5th of October and if the wishes of the citizens were fulfilled.
