Summary/Abstract: In this paper, the author endeavors to reassess the socio-political factors that led to the October 5 Revolution. The attention is specifically thrown on the legal regime constituted in 1990, which enabled people of authority to expand the field of their own jurisdiction, and additionally, on the flexibility of certain regulations that enabled Slobodan Milosevic to create a political platform separated from the constitutional powers. For the proper analysis of the historic situation, the deconstruction of the overall story is required. The narrative of the October 5 is oftentimes unjustly interpreted in Modern Historiography concerning merely the events that immediately preceded the actual act of overthrowing Milosevic. Therefore, the author thinks that the historic obligation is to put light on the specific notions that are frequently disregarded, as well as to shape the entire situation into a comprehensible unity.
