Summary/Abstract: The article presents the main milestones of the life of a prominent researcher, classic of modern Ukrainian literature, academician of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova Konstantin Popovich (1924–2010). Attention is drawn to the multi-vector nature of the scientist’s creative career: eminescology studies, literary relations of the Moldovan-Ukrainian-Russian frontier, the folklore heritage of the Ukrainian-Moldavian borderland, and, of course, the writing profession. The paper proposes new data about Popovich as an organizer of science, a teacher and an innovator. Along with the well-known biographical information, the reader gets the opportunity to get acquainted with the author’s personal memories of this versatile and extraordinary personality.
