Summary/Abstract: The article has a comparative character regarding the enrollment in English and Pol- ish lexical unit meme and memetics. The first part of the paper is devoted, indeed, to the English as well as Polish word-formation etymology of meme and memetics lexical units. In part two, special attention is paid to the philosophical values of term theory used by Richard Dawkins as a vital instrument of memetics theory formation.
