Summary/Abstract: The subjective and objective factors conditioning the effectiveness of education in Poland are discussed in this article. It is noted that social factors also affect education, in particular its effectiveness. One of the important social determinants conditioning the effectiveness of education is included - the technological and information factor. The influence of a given factor on society as well as on various levels of education in Poland is presented. Next to the radical changes made in the education system under the influence of the technological and information factor, the threats it carries are also highlighted.
