Summary/Abstract: In this article I will draw attention to the publication of a Romanian novel written by Valentin Popa. The plot of the book is the following: a writer observes that the real persons who are used as prototypes for his literary characters go through real incidents and even die in some cases. It seems that a mysterious force comes out from literature, shaping real life. I will try to demonstrate to what extent the author – a former teacher of philosophy – takes into account (even explicitly) different «universes of discourse» when he makes his main character (a writer, too) elaborate (at least) two types of narration: a “harmful” and an “unharmful” one. Last but not least, I will indicate in the analysed text the presence of some elements currently dealt with by hermeneutics.
