Summary/Abstract: In this paper, our purpose is to bring into light some aspects of the English words that we identify into the process of reading belletristic literature, specific to the XIX-th century. In this case, we reffer to the so-called Scrisori/Letters that Constantin Negruzzi wrote in different situations, using words of different origins: French words, English words, German words. Our objective is to reveal the manner in which C. Negruzzi used in his literary work, words of English origin and to try to explain how these words are perceived at the level of our Romanian Lexis.
