Summary/Abstract: Classifications in general, including administrative bodies, aims to their better understanding. In order to understand the role, significance and meaning of individual administrative bodies, it would be necessary to make a distinction between their types and forms. When it comes to this classification, it is necessary to start from the territorial and time parameters that must be considered with other criteria that are unique to one national legislation. In Bosnia and Herzegovina and based on the understanding of the majority, in accordance with its legal order and levels of government, one can speak of differences and similarities between certain types of administrative bodies, with regard to their scope, competence, mutual relationship and territory. Forms of administrative bodies would then represent different forms of organization in which bodies, within one variety, exist, regardless of their scope, competence, mutual relationship and territory. If we start from the jurisdiction, mutual relations and territory, the administrative bodies can be divided in several different ways, always respecting the first socio-political organization of the country. Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a complex social community, is predominantly decentralized, often excessively. We are of the opinion that the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina primarily heritages federalism as a political concept and federalism as a constitutional and legal model of organizing the social community, in which the territorial criterion of government organization has come to the fore.
