DIFFERENCES IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF HEALTH AND NON-HEALTH PROFESSIONALS IN HEALTH CENTER ŽUPANJA ON HIV / AIDS AND THE IMPACT OF SHORT-TERM EDUCATION AND COMMUNICATION ON KNOWLEDGE

Summary/Abstract: Research was conducted at the Medical center Županja and associated institutions in the concession. The anonimous questionnaire was used, which was answered by 83 employees, of which 43 medical staff and 40 non-medical staff. The test was performed in two parts. The first part consisted of fulfilling the questionnaire, with a warning that one answer is correct. In the second part, participants receive the information brochure on HIV / AIDS, and after a short training leading by bacchelor nurse, they respond to the same questionnaire as before training after three months. The obtained data were statistically analyzed by calculating the statistical difference, χ² test. The aim was to prove that education has a significant impact on changing knowledge, opinions and attitudes of respondents,on health and non health workers. Study successfully demonstrated the importance of education and communication on knowledge.
