Summary/Abstract: The article presents an empirical study on the creation of a virtual instrument (violin) based on a spectrographic analysis of the frequencies of a real instrument. In the first part are mentioned some methods of sound synthesis used to obtain virtual violins, with their advantages and disadvantages. In the second part, the author proposes a virtual violin model created based on complex spectrographic analyses of specific samples captured from a classical violin.
