Summary/Abstract: This paper analyses one type of accent doubletism in the speech of professional speakers on the material of an informative programme on the public television broadcast in the Republic of Srpska. A double pronunciation of four-syllable adjectives, represents a systemic phenomenon in this speech and refers to frequent adjectives of foreign origin derived by the suffix -ski: ekonomski, medicinski, and complex domestic adjectives such as: malobrojan, pravoslavni, srednjoškolski, which usually has a short falling accent on the first syllable, or a standard short rising accent on the second syllable and that is not accepted by the norm of the Serbian language. It's obvious based on the collected material, that the process of mastering the norm in the media has begun, but it needs to be completed because these forms are extremely frequent in public speech in general and not just in the speeches of announcers.
