The Kurdish press of Romania

Summary/Abstract: This study is based on the semantic analysis of the main publication of the Kurdish community in Romania, "The Voice of Mesopotamia", first published in 1955. The analysis is concentrated on the most important subjects approached in this review: the history of the Kurds, the political affiliations of the Kurdish community in Romania, the invasion of Iraq and the Turkey's path towards European integration. It tried in this way, to radiograph the cultural-historical and political mentalities, typical for the Kurdish community in Romania.
